I'm ever-optimistic (still here, aren't I?), but also a realist - seeking a woman with just a few (hard to find) traits. 1st become friends, then buddies, then homies - as we remove the stitches at the hip-joint while discovering and develop more similarities - and love will surely creep in. ...Creepy, I know.
....ENTER Pareto's 80/20 principle - if we discover 80% likes, then Live-&-LetLive the 20% agree-to-disagrees - as long as we don't break one-another's speed. And you don't change The PreAgreed GamePlan, like most in my past.
Escape to which Other-World?
- Plan-A (1) was to buy a big-ass 40ft Catamaran and sail "away". So I've been saving many years "determinedly" (Taurus' are'nt stubborn - grin).
- Plan-B of Overlanding with caravan down Central America became a wild-hair up my a$$ for a while - when I missed my financial target at retirement (with many "excuses") of Plan-A (1).
- Plan-A (2) slapped me between the eyes a month ago when I was deep-sea fishing on a pal's boat. I need to be ON the sea, not AT it on a dem beach. So buy a smaller-ass 34ft sailing Catamaran, which I CAN afford.
Uuuh waitaminute, problem w All The Above - I won't/can't do it alone. Alone-anything is'nt as nice/good as with a buddy. And a female-buddy kiss and cook better. There, I said it!
Similar lifestyle applies.
- During a previous cross-Atlantic cruise from CPT to Caribbean, all of us yachties became bored after a few weeks in any given anchorage of sight-see, snorkeling, fishing, shoot-da-breeze, dinner & boardgames everyday with others, etc. Hard to believe of Paradize, but true.

So take many off-grid stuff, compact mobile-disco, and inflatable beach-rental "toys" - to keep them-&-us busy IF/WHEN we want to.
...Besides cruisers on yachts at anchor and in marinas - some places also have intrntl young backpackers in cheap Hostels and/or tourists in Resorts. Equally bored after a few days sight-seeing, have a few $s to burn - so our beach-rentals will be a hit. Last time adult/mature/sane (you'd think) yachties were dancing lattie-spoeg-spat on a beach to dem-boring-after-10min Carib steeldrum music.
Top priority - to have an attitude of Team-player, with no ego to prove - like me - to avoid silly fights. Don't bother if your mind-set is You-vs-Him - excluding Gov/Corps/RulePushers.
- Someone who loves a minimalist lifestyle - independent self-sustainable and off-grid as possible. Yet a small silent generatortjiekie, w elect blender for umbrellatjie-sundowners & a dough-kneader / meat-mincer & a H-Duty sewing-mc are all definites.
- Be handy to make-&-do stuff. Did I say I don't have a TV? but vrek oor movies A/H.
- Not afraid to tackle new adventures - stay cool-calm-collect. HA! I worry enuf for 3 - so I've got you covered.
- Willing to relocate far from friends/family - with the expectation for visits. Allow the dem kids to live their own lives, without limiting your own.
- Someone not over-weight (too much) - and not LOOK like some poor-kid's crinkle-cut ol' grand-maw. I'm relatively athletic - albeit with an almost-pregnancy and need a push-up bra. So nature's old-age gravity-pull is heel-OK.
I've learned to do canning of meats-&-fish (and jams). Plus how Not-To peel potato's, as The Chief OnionPeeler & Dishwasher since a kid - and my soups & bredies are better than ol' Sofie's.
- Can you sew w a machine, or willing to learn - simple straight stuff? HA! this mech-design halfassed-eng has a few "solar" off-grid ideas to build.
